
That means that if the game is too hard or too easy, you can always lower or increase the difficulty (however, to raise the difficulty to Nightmare you'll HAVE to start over) Remember: you can always adjust your difficulty in the settings. Personally, it took me about 16-18 hours to beat the game on my first try. There's the standard stuff like difficulty and your personal skill level, but also the dynamic element that is the Alien, which can also influence how long it will take you to beat a level (if being more precise, I'm talking about the combination of how you, the player, will react to Alien and other threats/problems and how Alien itself will behave). Overall it is a pretty long game, but how much time it will take you to beat it depends on multitude of factors. That's about it for the brief, spoiler-free run-down of the game.


You're underpowered and underprepared, but not helpless or defenceless, as you will steadily aquire an array of tools to aid you in your survival. It is a slow paced, challenging, methodical and damn terrifying system-driven experience, that doesn't take kindly rushing through it in a hurry.
